My story starts in the year 2000 when I heard that MTV Latin America was coming to my campus (ITESO- Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente) with their project Invasion MTV. The whole idea was to invade our university with concerts, happenings and cool artist hanging out with our students and broadcasting it from our installations.
They wanted to form a crew of students. I ran to the Communication’s office in my campus and signed in. Not knowing what I really wanted to do, I went to the first meeting anyways. The meeting started by calling everyone’s name asking one by one what they wanted to do. Suddenly the producer called my name…I got all nervous…and afterwards he said: who is she? I want her to be my producer.
Oh! Producer? I thought...I didn’t really know what that meant… so I asked the guy next to me: What does a producer do? – He/She organizes everything, people, equipment, and schedules- he said. I thought that didn’t sound that bad… I raised my hand and said: That’s me!!
The rest is history….
